My name is Abraham. Amor is the name of my daughter. Baba Amor means ‘Father of Amor.’ Who would have thought! π
In my mother-tongue, Amor literally means ‘I am happy.’ Yes, I know the Spanish meaning too.
This blog is meant to express my more ..er.. serious thoughts or my thought on more serious matters (as opposed to various ramblings I have in other places on the Wonderful Web). This blog is where I express my views, tell stories (real and imagined, or a mixture), and generally practice my writing. I occasionally write what seems to pass for poetry.
You may gather from my posts that I live in Nairobi, Kenya. And I use British English – ‘colour’, ‘realise’ – and so on.
Thanks for dropping by.
Do feel free to say something.
Abraham, so glad you Liked “Death on the Church Steps” on Paper, Mud and Me. I have other books on paulsbooks.net. I have been to Nairobi once in my life, way back in 1944. We caught a ship from there headed for South America. I have a novel about the trip that is at a publishers and should be out in mid 2013.
thank you so much for taking time to check out my blog! I cant wait to read through yours π
Abraham thank you so very much for stopping by our site and liking our About page! It’s such a blessing to meet you; we pray that your first visit will not be your last. God bless you and your daughter and family.

Rebecca

Cheers! π
I use British English too! I’m from Canada, so technically we use “u” (e.g. colour), but sometimes I get lazy and just skip it! :o…. I didn’t know though that realise with an “s” is British English. In Canada, realise is spelt with a “z” so realize.
HI Abraham, the last time I nominated you for something you already had someone else nominate you . Well I’m pleased to nominate you for Blog of the Year. Check it out on my latest blog! Congratulations my friend.

btw you have a great blog,
thx for sharing then….
LOLL!! No problem π
Hello Abraham, or should I call you Baba? I like your writing and I look forward to reading more of it. I thought it was a great idea to tell people that you use British English, I never thought of that. I have found that my confidence in spelling has been completely undermined by WordPress’ determination to mark all my British spellings as wrong and now I seem to be mixing them up! I am going to have to make a stand and I think I will copy you and let both my readers know. thanks!
It’s the American invasion π
Thanks for your kind words.
I also got the idea to tell people that I use British English from another blog that I now can’t remember.
Hello Abraham, I thought I would let you know that when I tried to visit your blog to see your FF post my computer said that you have malware on the site.
best wishes James
You are the second person to tell me that this week, but others seem to have had no problem. I’m not sure what to do, but let me look into it. Thanks for the feedback.
Interesting blog I’ve found here – I’ll make sure to keep an eye on it π Cheers, say hi to Amor
I really like your blog! π
Thanks! π
Abraham, I just wanted you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you as we listen to the reports of the Nairobi mall tragedy.. My husband and I pray that God kept you and your family safe and He protected all of those you love. What a sad day for Kenya as well as the world. Please drop me a line on my post and let us know? Lots of hugs and blessings from afar, may the Lord come soon, Ellie
